Dr. Schwartz is a founding member of Atlantic Surgical. He specializes in hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, and benign and malignant diseases of the breast. Dr. Schwartz was one of the first surgeons to perform laparoscopic gall bladder removal in New Jersey. He is a member of the Americas Hernia Society, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He has been voted Top Doc in New Jersey 14 times.

Stephen Klepner, DO
Dr. Stephen Klepner is a fellowship trained Robotic and Bariatric surgeon. He is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life. He has a particular interest in weight loss surgery, robotic abdominal wall reconstruction for complex hernias, paraesophageal and hiatal hernia repair, and anti-reflux surgery. He is on staff at Ocean Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and Monmouth Medical Center.
After graduating from Rutgers University summa cum laude, Dr. Klepner attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed general surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and he consistently achieved the highest marks on training examinations and served as Chief Resident. On completion of residency, he was awarded the H Jeffrey Tourigian, DO Memorial Scholarship award for academic leadership and technical excellence. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in advanced GI surgery where he received extra training in robotic surgery, bariatric surgery, and hiatal hernia repair as well as the surgical management of gastric and pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Klepner grew up in New Jersey and understands the importance of community. He currently resides in Manalapan, NJ with his wife Dr. Rebecca Barnett (OB/GYN) and their two children.
