A Message to our Patients about our office policies during the COVID-19 Pandemic (updated September 2022)
As a valued member of our Atlantic Surgical Group patient community, we appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you about how we are addressing the safety of our patients and staff with regard to COVID-19.
We are closely monitoring events in our local community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as a result of new information. Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene, infection control and medical professional team health. We feel confident in our ability to continue safely seeing patients and providing the excellent care you have come to expect. We are happy to report that 100% of our office personnel, both staff and physicians, are vaccinated against COVID-19
Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible. Therefore, at the recommendation of the CDC, we will be implementing the following protocols when a patient visits our office.
-
Whether you have a live office visit scheduled or a telemedicine visit, you will receive an email one week prior to the appointment date with a link to connect you to Phreesia, which is a program that connects you to our office paperwork. This is not a download, and you do not have to print out anything. Here you will find paperwork that needs to be filled out prior to your appointment. In fact, this paperwork must be filled out by 48 hours before your appointment. or else your appointment will have to be rescheduled. You will receive both a text message and a phone call in advance of your appointment as a reminder.
-
If you are having a telemedicine visit, you will also receive a text message containing a link that will allow you to download a program called pMD. When you download this program, it will instruct you how to register with pMD. This program allows us to hold telemedicine visits in a secure and HIPAA compliant fashion. When your appointment time comes, you will receive a phone call from your doctor through the pMD app to initiate your appointment. It's like facetime, but with a safe and secure connection.
-
Our office doors are now open. A mask will be required during your time in the office , whether you have been vaccinated or not. If you have been vaccinated, please bring your vaccination card with you. We will make a copy of it and keep it on file. A hand sanitizing station is available in the waiting area.
-
If you are unvaccinated, we will be happy to see you, but if you are bringing someone with you who is not vaccinated, we will ask that that person remain outside the office and not accompany you to your appointment.
-
If you arrive at our office without a face mask, we will provide one for you. Refusal to wear a mask will force us to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This is for the health and safety of you, our other patients, and our staff.
-
We ask that patients maintain a distance of 6 feet from others when in our facility.
We understand that these measures may be less than convenient, however we are doing all this for your protection, as well as the protection of our other patients and our staff. If you have any questions about this notification or your upcoming appointment, please call our office at 732-531-5445.
Thank you for your continued trust and loyalty as we work together to help keep our patients, doctors, and staff free from COVID-19.
