Dr. Schwartz is a founding member of Atlantic Surgical. He specializes in hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, and benign and malignant diseases of the breast. Dr. Schwartz was one of the first surgeons to perform laparoscopic gall bladder removal in New Jersey. He is a member of the Americas Hernia Society, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He has been voted Top Doc in New Jersey 14 times.

Thomas R. Lake, III MD, FACS, FASCRS
Dr. Lake is the Medical Director of Colorectal Oncology for Meridian Health and serves as chair of the Multidisciplinary Digestive Disease Tumor Board at Ocean Medical Center. He is actively involved in the medical and surgical management of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Dr. Lake has a special interest in anorectal surgery including pelvic floor disorders leading to incontinence, constipation and rectal prolapse. He routinely performs laparoscopic and open colon and rectal surgery for benign and malignant disease, as well as anal surgery for hemorrhoids, fissures, abscesses and fistulas. He also provides colon cancer screening colonoscopy.
Dr. Lake is on staff at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, and Central Jersey Surgery Center in Eatontown.
Dr. Lake is a graduate of Florida State University where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 1991. He received his Doctor of Medicine from St George’s University School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Lake completed his surgical residence in Long Branch, New Jersey at Monmouth Medical Center in 2001. He was awarded a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center/University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Hartford, Connecticut. After completing his fellowship in 2002 he entered private practice with Atlantic Surgical Group specializing in Colon and Rectal Surgery in Monmouth and Ocean County.
Dr. Lake is Board Certified by The American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Lake has been voted Physician of the Year by the Nursing Staff of Ocean Medical Center. He resides in Howell with his wife Christine and children, Lauren and Logan.
